It's a Process to Be Proud Of

Upcycle definition image

Each Infinite Clothing shirt reuses approximately six plastic bottles. Our custom blends of upcycled yarns reduce energy expenditure by approximately 80% during production, yet create a fabric that minimizes the exposure of harmful toxins to the human body. Infinite Clothing’s sustainable effort is about proactively saving the earth while also supporting a healthy lifestyle.

The manufacturing process has a far-less damaging ecological impact than conventional fabrics: 1 pound of Infinite Clothing’s recycled yarn saves on average 1/2-gallon of gasoline, while reducing the amount of harmful CO2 release by 75%; water usage is reduced by 60%. Our products are the ultimate green performance wear! When you wear Infinite Clothing, you Play in Green!

A Better Fabric

Our fabric is an alternative to polyester, the most-common fabric used for making performance apparel. Polyester is derived from crude oil and common sense tells us this is a fabric that should not be worn regularly against our skin—especially during fitness training.

The Upcycling Process

The process of upcycling is actually fairly simple: plastic bottles are collected and thoroughly cleaned and sterilized then chopped into thousands of small chips. These chips are melted until they become a molten liquid, which is then pressed with a dye plate (containing many tiny holes) to produce hundreds of thin strands of upcycled polyester yarn. These yarns are then woven into fabric we use for the infinite.clothing product line.

We have made a conscious decision to engineer environmentally responsible performance wear. We refuse to use virgin fibers that deplete earth’s resources; nor will we use harmful synthetics such as polyester. Our upcycled fabrics are unmatched in performance, comfort, and durability.

Supporting the American Economy Whenever and Wherever We Can

Infinite Clothing combines technical and highly fashionable performance apparel with a conscious movement of social responsibility

Using fashion as a platform, Infinite Clothing is a voice for social and environmental responsibility. Our brand is committed to rejuvenating the American textile industry by employing entirely domestic labor to design, assemble, and distribute our entire product line of sustainable activewear. In these harsh economic times, it’s crucial we keep jobs America whenever we can . There are plenty of cut-and-sew factories across the United States ready and willing to do great work, but as of 2012 an overwhelming 98% of clothing purchased in the United States was manufactured overseas. To date, the U.S. currently has fewer manufacturing jobs than it did in 1941, having lost an unprecedented 5.5 million US manufacturing jobs since October of 2000. This trend cannot continue, we are committed to a conscious effort of creating U.S. jobs and opportunities.

Did You Know?

  • If every American spent just $3.33 annually on U.S. made goods, it would lead to the creation of nearly 10,000 new jobs in this country.
  • 1 new manufacturing job directly leads to 5 other U.S. jobs.
  • The U.S. spends $3.90 on Chinese goods for every $1 the Chinese spend on U.S.-made goods.

Join the Movement!

We are proud to source our upcycled fabric from New York, design our products in California, assemble in multiple factories across the United States, distribute from Illinois, and market from Arizona, but we want more. We keep an eye on the industry of sustainable fabrics and watch for companies to develop and embrace sustainable fabrics so we can ensure our core materials come from the U.S.A. as well.
