MANDY SHERMAN, CSA, casts comedy and drama for both television and film. A Los Angeles native, Mandy Sherman has been working in and around the entertainment business since she was a child. Originally an actress, she appeared in plays, films, sitcoms, dramas, and MOWs and also performed with an improv group at comedy clubs local to her for a number of years. After graduating cum laude with a BA from the UCLA Theater Department, she began to explore different avenues within the business, including working in public relations, as a celebrity personal assistant, and as a writer/director at Nick Cassavetes’ production company. After dabbling in the commercial-casting field, Many made the move into theatrical casting; landing her first job as a casting assistant on the first X-Men film. She was unstoppable and proceeded to establish her own successful casting company.
She is credited with many impressive accomplishments in her career. Early on there were: ABC’s Alias, Lost, and What About Brian, and later came the VH-1 series Hit the Floor; the CW pilot/series, Beauty and the Beast; the Sony/NBC pilot, Brenda Forever, and feature films including The Engagement Clause, Caught, The Evil Dead, So Undercover, and Something Borrowed. Mandy is currently wrapping up casting for the NatGeo Channel/Imagine Entertainment series, Mars, a movie for Lifetime and an independent film. Cast for Ron Howard and Brian Grazer’s production company, she is really excited about the Mars project—about the colonization of Mars, she views it as topical and is fascinated by the concept of how mankind would start over in a more productive way on a new planet.
Mandy Sherman has been nominated for both Artios and Emmy awards, and to have won an Emmy for Outstanding Casting of a Drama Series.
Mandy does what she can to reduce, reuse, and recycle—though she wishes she could do more and that’s one of the reasons she chooses Infinite Clothing. She knows, and we agree, every little bit counts. Mandy says of her industry, “It has become more and more paperless in the last few years, thanks to the internet. No longer do we need to pile up actors’ headshots and resumes. Now we can display these on or send them from computer to computer and I’m glad for this change.” Mandy, a vegetarian, obsessively recycles, walks when she can, and uses reusable bags when shopping. She recently held a yard sale and rather than discard unsold items, she donated them to local charities. She feels these are all small and easy steps that enable her to contribute to the preservation and revitalization of the planet we live on.
I love my Infinite Clothing pieces. My Amazon capris are my favorite. I wear them so much and am sad when they have to leave my rotation for the laundry. They are so comfortable, flattering to my body, and they maintain their fit. Of course, my favorite thing about Infinite Clothing is they are made from eco-friendly resources. How cool is that?! I get to feel great physically and be environmentally conscious while working out. Win-win!!
